Meet Kate Vallee

Kate Vallee is a director / choreographer / performer currently residing in Denver, CO after a decade in New York City. 


Some of Kate’s favorite performance credits include; 42nd Street Japanese and American tours (dance captain/swing), Funny Girl National Tour (Mimsey), Cirque’s Christmas Dreams (dance captain/swing), and Singin’ In The Rain at the Goodspeed Opera House (swing). Other shows include: Cabaret, Chicago, Pippin, A Chorus Line, Buddy Holly, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Grease, Peter Pan, Anything Goes. Kate performed as a Radio City Rockette for four years and appeared on The Today Show, multiple national news programs, and interviewed on national radio shows. She represented the United States in The World Tap Dance Championships winning top honors with her group, and placing as second top female soloist. Currently, Kate is the Regional Director of the vintage tap company The Honey Taps in Denver. She also performed with dance companies; Jette Jazz and Steps Ensemble (NYC).

As a director or choreographer, Kate has worked on over 40 productions showcased in NYC, regional theaters across the country, and now in Denver. NYC credits include; Staten Island Philharmonics’ On The Town, Scoobydoosical The Musical (World Premiere), Personal Space Theatrics acclaimed production of A Christmas Carol, and The Sphinx Winx- Off Broadway (Assistant).  A few Regional credits include; Mamma Mia (Destination Productions-WV), Beauty and The Beast, Holiday Inn (Candlelight Dinner Theater), 42nd Street (7 productions nationally), and Lapis and Stella (Syracuse Stage). Kate is a theater and dance educator with over twenty years of adjudicating national dance competitions, teaching master classes nationwide, and serving on artistic management teams of performing arts organizations. You may know her regionally from Performing Arts Academy of Colorado, or Colorado School of Dance. She directs and choreographs youth theater (over 30 productions), choreographs competition routines, teaches acting and dance, and has created and developed multiple educational programs. Kate has taught for the Broadway Dance Center (NYC), New Dance Group (NYC), The Rock Center for Dance (Las Vegas), Syracuse University and regional studios from New York to parts of Northwest Canada. Her competition choreography has won top honors nationally.


She is recognized in the Who’s Who of Dance catalogue, and honored to be named a Capezio Dance Athlete. 


Kate has a BFA in Musical Theater from Syracuse University.
