Meet Joanna Richardson
Choregrapher , Musical Theatre Tap, Jazz Dance & Pilates Instructor
Joanna Richardson is originally from Atlanta, GA where she trained at Vista Grove Dance Centre. She’s been a performing professional for over 15 years and has had the pleasure to perform all over the world.
She’s been a Radio City Rockette for 14 years dancing in the “Christmas Spectacular” in NY and touring across the country. Joanna has appeared with the Rockettes on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, LIVE! With Kelly and Ryan, the TODAY show, and represented the Rockettes teaching master classes on Norwegian Cruise Line.
She danced at Tokyo Disney Sea in “Tap Happy Two” as a featured tap soloist and Hollywood Studios in “The Beauty and Beast Live” stage production. She was a performer in the 1996 Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as the Tanzsommer Dance Festival in Austria and Germany.
Joanna has performed regionally with theaters in Georgia, Louisiana, and New York. Some of her more favorite theater credits include: Chicago, Anything Goes, Pippin, Lil Abner (performer and assistant choreographer), Oklahoma (performer and assistant choreographer), and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Joanna lived in NYC for several years where she worked with some incredible choreographers like James Kinney, Richard Pierlon, Debbie Roshe, and Matthew Neff.
Joanna currently resides in Denver, CO performing with the “Honey Taps” and teaching dance and Pilates.
She is a STOTT Pilates instructor and enjoys working with dancers on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and conditioning for a healthy performing career.
