"It's a dream come true to get to work with children - to share my passion with them and to see the spark of imagination that comes with musical theatre ignite in their minds."

Annette has been a teacher for nearly all of her adult life.  After graduating from the University of Central Missouri with a BM in Performance, she spent the next few years honing her skills as a teacher, musician and performer in Portland, OR.

She worked with both children looking to pursue music and theatre as a career and kids who just loved it as a hobby.

Deciding she wanted to be closer to her family, she moved to Denver, CO in 2015 and has loved it ever since.

Further using her teaching skills, she taught general music for grades K-8 in a classroom setting and introduced theatre to her students. She put on the first musical production the school had ever done with a new musical publication called Alice@Wonderland. After the show was a success, she grew the theatre program by incorporating acting and theatre into the music curriculum and producing/directing annual musicals such as Seussical, Jr. and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Jr.

After deciding to pursue theatre more full time, Annette began to pursue theatre gigs around the Denver area, including the music direction of Annie, Jr and Mary Poppins, Jr, Direction/Choreography of Lion King, Jr and 101 Dalmatians Kids, Les Mis and more! She also loves to work one-on-one with musicians, but especially with aspiring broadway singers.

Other than working in theatre, Annette enjoys photography, videography, bowling and yoga. She loves to cook, but hates following the recipes and reads entirely too many books.

She is so excited to be a part of Sublimelight Studios and can't wait to see their productions come alive!
